Couch Imprint (50 Women Game Changers Wrap-Up)

You ever have those days where it’s just too difficult to try to get up off the couch, so you eventually give up and just sit there? Even the remote control is too much work so you spend the next ten seconds…minutes…hours…staring into space. That’s been my last month.

I mean, I’ve been off my couch. I go to work every day, visit friends in the hospital, make dinner for my guests, buy groceries, tutor, and get the laundry done for my brother. But if I don’t have to do something for someone else, I’ve been wall staring. It’s probably a combo of third year med student burn out, general laziness, inadequate walk with Christ, and biopsychosocial stressors. (I’m on my psychiatry rotation and my attending would be pleased to see me use that term.) I’ve missed blogging, though, so I’m back, and you’ll just get to deal with both my eccentricity and my sporadic posting schedule.

Today is the wrap up day for the 50 Women Game Changers of Food series. I loved participating in this group and would encourage all of you to explore the recipes and stories our group has discovered over the last year. Below you’ll find a complete list of participants and a link to the page where I’ve collected all of our posts for the last year in one place. Check it out – it’s an amazing collection.

And then, an important favor to ask! This summer, I’m attending a number of weddings and I’d like to share some of my favorite recipes with the new families. Which recipes from this blog would you include?

  1. I too have loved reading the Game Changers posts! How much fun!

  2. Mary says:

I hope your schedule eases enough that you can enjoy the weddings. Don't forget to take care of yourself while healing others. Have a quiet and enjoyable weekend. Blessings…Mary

  3. Sometimes you just have to take a break! Take care of yourself and enjoy your down time. For your newlyweds, I would give them the Bibical Breakfast Burrito recipe, and perhaps a basket of fresh veggies to go with it! 😉
